As the colorful leaves of fall sprouted on the trees, those involved with the Abbie Hunt Bryce Home stopped and remembered the Home’s special mission. The 10th Annual Memorial picnic featured remembrances of the thirty four residents who spent their final days here in the previous twelve months. Families gathered for group photos as they marked the realization that their loved one had found peace in his or her most desperate time of life. The updated Memorial Garden- which features commemorative bricks with the resident’s names- was a popular and poignant stop for all. As one speaker at the event noted: ” The Home is not about a final journey. It is about life’s journey.”
