Dozens of supporters of compassionate end of life care gathered at Morning Light’s Abbie Hunt Bryce Home recently to mark the 10th anniversary of the Home’s opening. More than 300 residents have stayed at the Home which provides accommodations free of charge to hospice patients who do not have appropriate living arrangements.
Administrator Renita Johnson took a few minutes to salute staff and volunteers who have provided compassionate care for more than a decade. Neighborhood Liaison Gary Loveless brought greeting from the Mayor’s office and Chair Scott Ringold urged attendees to keep supporting the Home. Many choose to join the Commitment Circle which recognizes individuals who annually contribute $1,000. In year one, 21 people qualified! More information on donation options is just a click away elsewhere on the website.
This year the Abbie Hunt Bryce Home has also opened its doors for hospice respite and to homeless patients recovering from surgery. For more information, contact Renita Johnson at firstname.lastname@example.org or at 860-0486.
Abbie Hunt Bryce Home residents are always in need of food, clothing, and other household and living supplies. If you wish to donate, contact the Home at 317.860.0484.
